Rewriting is not fun

Well it sort of is but then again it isn't really. I hope I'm making sense but i'm probably not. This is Eric by the way.

We all thought we were done we all thought he story had been told we were all ready to be yanked into the next one to actually relive the whole war just as we'd just relived all the events leading up to the war as Anne wrote Legend and then...

She yanked us all around back to the beginning. Apparently she's planning to rewrite the whole thing over again several times. And it's confusing, because she doesn't write it in order anymore. She keeps backtracking an sidetracking. Oh the life of a character.

Right now I'm in jail. This is near the beginning so though right now I know what happens next all she has  do is start writing and it's like we're doing it all over again and we have no memory of what happened after the point in time she's writing.

Anyway Anne asked me to do beautiful people today and I said sure but then she said she wanted the Sage to ask the questions. Well I agreed because she's been really good about listening to what I have to say lately and not going of and doing what she wants and I think she needs a reward but if I had my pick she would ask and answer the questions about me like she normally does. It's more comfortable that way.

Greetings. This is the sage. Many happy returns of the day.

It's not my birthday

So? I want you to keep on living anyway don't I?

Just ask the questions please.

That was a question.

Oh. I guess you want me to keep on living. Though I must say it's not a popular wish among the people I know.

You don't know me.

Yes I do.

Of course I do. I was talking about you.

I was talking about me.

But I had been talking about you not me,. It's rude to change the subject.

But when you say you and I say me it's the same thing.

No it isn't. I say you because you are you, and you say me because me is the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

You should say I am the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet and...

But I am not not a letter.

I "is" not a letter. And it most certainly is a letter.

Stop contradicting yourself.

I have a headache.

I have an onoin

That's not how you spell onion.

That may not be the way you spell it but it is the way I spell it.

How do ever expect anybody to understand you?

Simple I explain to her very carefully.

Her?

You certainly don't think anybody is a boy?

Lot's of people are boys.

That doesn't make anybody one. Lot's of people are crazy that doesn't make me crazy.

You are crazy.

I am a sage. The two are often mistaken for each other but in the end the either amount to the same thing or something entirely different.

*Thud*

I believe he's passed out. Oh well I must be getting a long. There are messes to make.

Binker's Weekly Updates I

It's Saturday! Anne currently has 3372 words of Legend written. I have with me here Eric and Roddy who will be coming in later to write about what's going on in their lives right now.

But I get to talk first. Anne is in the middle of chapter two and

She left me there with my head spinning around about to black out! You guys have no idea what it feels like to be a book character. While the author is writing you're reliving what happened. It's like you're taken back in time and you have to go through everything including the not knowing how its going to turn out all over again. And then when she stops writing you are left in what ever condition you were in.

Eric! Its my turn right now! BTW Eric is writing in bold and Roddy is writing in italics.I  thought I;d share a paragraph with you from her book. Just a little taste.
It was like watching a tiger in a cage. Like watching an eagle in a net. Shivers ran down John’s spine.  He wished that someone else were the prison guard. Big strong man that he was this youth frightened him. His eyes glittered and his lips were stretched over small white teeth from which hatred and loathing shone like sunlight.  John was used to tired criminals. Men he pitied and men he prayed for, even the hardened men who he knew would do anything to get out did not frighten him as much as the young lion who was now turning his back on the tray of food he had slid under the door. Hardened criminals he could take, but this animal was not the kind of thing he was used to.

Right now I'm really mad at her. You know where she left me?
They had simply taken him away and sold him to a man who raised horses. Sold. Stamped and sealed as the property of another. He turned his hand over and stared hard at the mark upon it.  The seal of another man. The same mark he would brand a hog or a letter with. The familiar sickness rose in his throat. The world swam. Only one thing stayed still: the red mark on his hand, a glowing red bird it grew flaming and and throbbing its image into his eyeballs so when he closed his eyes there it was imprinted on the back of his hand.It seemed to turn its head ansd fly toward him beak ready to pierce him through. He waited petrified. Its eyes glittered evilly and the thing dangling from its claws became a net the bird flew closer it was many birds each silent and sinister each re. each hilding the wedge of this net. They were above him. He turned his head and the net dropped enveloping him in its folds. It was cold brushing his skin like the touch of...
Touch of what! I'm stuck feeling sick with my hand throbbing like it's on fire, hallucinating about birds feeling the cold touch of the net on my skin but unable to finish my thought until she writes it!

Sorry you guys! But Binker really wanted to do his post right now. This is Anne by the way.

Get me out of here miss anne  person. Now!

Manners Roddy!

Alright alright enough of this! Lets finish my thought!

Coming! Coming!

Ha!

So this is Lywin talking. I'm the protagonist of The Care of a King a book that Anne is writing and that is currently on hold.  Annike{hero of said book} and I have decided to put her through the same grill she has put us through on several occasions.

By which we mean Beautiful People. We think it's unfair that the writer gets all the fun of it. It's time for her to sweat over what we say instead of the other way around. I'm Annike. I'll be writing in blue. Lywin will write in purple and if Anne decides she needs to say something she'll write in red.

1. What is their favourite type of shoes?
First of all I think that we need to establish that the words "Anne" and "shoes" are antonyms.
Right. But she does like those button up boots that they had back in the 1900's.

2. Do they journal?
Well she has one. But it's usually filled with snippets and bits of stories, not what she does. She keeps meaning to start one but that'll happen the same day that she says she thinks that Anthony Andrews can't act. Hey! I may someday start writing what happens to me down! And someday your sister will buy a Nick Jonas CD. The chances are the same for both.

3. What’s their favorite animal?
Horses. And cats. I can understand the love of horses after all they are part of life and without them we would be pretty stuck. Plus they are awesome. But cats? Cats are small and easy to step on and they look at you when you are thinking privately. And they pounce on things. Including me.

4. What does their average day look like?
She gets up at 5:30. Or not. Then she has her bible time. Then she does part of her Math. Trust me that stuff is cool. It's just numbers. But she likes it. Then she goes running. Now that part I like. We all get to talk to and she listens to our stories and she tells us her ideas and we approve or condemn them.  Lately it's been mostly condemning. I feel bad about that. I wish Roddy{one of the heroes of her new book} would cut her some slack.
Here here!
Then there's all this schoolwork. Math, cell structure, notes about some guy named Trespassers W....
Um actually his real name is William Wilberforce but nicknamed him Trespassers W. after Piglet's grandfather in Winnie the Pooh.
Yeah she nicknames everything. Including her calculator. His name is Handy-dandy-helpful-hal. Then she makes lunch and we all sing with her.  Except Annike doesn't sing he thinks he sounds terrible.  After lunch there is usually a walk then she finishes school. Spanish, boring machine like papers on books that are perfectly good and do not deserve that kind of treatment, handwriting, and practice for her history performance. Which is tomorrow! After school she writes and blogs and draws and plays with her siblings. Or she reads. Then after dinner she either does the dishes or laundry or something. Both of which we like immensely. If she does the dishes she and her sister Amy sing at the tops of their lungs about Stars and dreams and  angry men and stuff like that. Those are songs from Les Misrables. Show some respect.  If they don't sing they talk and that I can tell you is interesting. And if she does laundry she recites Pilgrims Progress to us. Then she either reads or does stuff with her family {who are awesome} or blogs until bedtime. Then we all have another looooong chat.

5. Night owl or morning person? (Optional: What time do they usually wake up? Go to bed?)
Both actually.  Anne doesn't need much sleep and as long as she's asleep by 11:00 she can get up at 5:30 fine.

6. Do they have a sweet tooth?

Does the sun rise in the east?

7. What colors are their bedroom?
Pink and white. She painted it with her mom and sister.

8. Can they cook?
Um. Annike be nice! She makes very good rice. And apple pie! She's not her sister Amy. Let's put it that way.  Yeah.

Nice supportive characters I have!
9. What is their favorite household chore?
Drying the dishes.  Yeah, that and making  taco salad for dinner.

10. Favorite kind of tea?

Hot chocolate. That's not tea. She likes plain tea with lots of milk and sugar.

Here's a song that reminds  us of her

This is her when it's time to write.  Not all the time though. Sometimes she gets it, and then she keeps going and going and going. We hope we havn't insulted her to much because she's a really nice author and we love her {even she does drive us nuts sometimes}.

My name is the Sage and I have been tagged and I hear that this is not freeze tag so I can

Um Sage? Your supposed to write in the post box not the title.

Oh.

Anne{my authoress} has a sister named Amy and on her blog she has tagged me to do a tag. It is in 11s. I prefer the number 412 but no one asked me. And after all I make it a point to never answer questions that are not asked me.

Anne is poking me and saying that I aught to tell a little about myself. Well My name is the Young Sage. I go by "the sage" and I live in the Kingdom, in the Castle, with the king the queen and the princess.

Now 11 random things about me.

  1. I am not a dog. I sometimes find it necessary to remind people of this.
  2. I am a third degree Sage. That isn't like a third degree burn it means my temperature is three degrees higher then the other sages. Healthily that is.
  3. I knit pickle jar covers. Marianne the cook finds them very useful. I like to sit in the sink while I knit them.
  4. My favorite book is Wuthering Heights by a Bronte. It's so incredibly funny.
  5. Someday I plan to discover a continent. When I told the princess that she said that there were only 7 continents and they had already been discovered. The reason every one thinks there 7 is because the one I'm going to discover hasn't been discovered yet.
  6. My favorite movie is that one about the man who flies his house. I like the Doug dog. He means Up.
  7. I own a talking frog
  8. I have never ridden in a hot air balloon
  9. I invented Hot air balloons
  10. I count my hair for fun sometimes
  11. O is the bast letter of the alphabet.
Now I must answer Amy's questions
1. Describe your dream pair of shoes.
I have only once dreamed about a pair of shoes. They were the princess's silver party shoes and they were having tea with the butcher.
2. What's your favorite children's picture book?
If you give a mouse a cookie.
3. What's your favorite fruit?
Wlalwalgura. A nonexistent fruit that grows in Uganda.
4. How tall are you? (I always like to know how tall people are-- not sure why.  Don't worry, I'm not asking for your weight... and if you feel it's an invasion of your privacy to post your height, you can substitute a picture of a cute kitten for this question.)
I am taller than my shoulder and shorter than my hat.
5. If money was no object, where would you like to go on your honeymoon?
What's a honeymoon? A trip two people who just got married go on. Oh. I haven't gotten married. I like ladybugs.
6. Who is your favorite singer?
Harold Skimpole of Bleak House
7. What's the next book on your to-read list?
Ramona the Pest by Beverly Cleary. I enjoy great literature
8. What's your biggest language-related pet peeve? (i.e., what phrases or words bug you the most?)
When people contradict themselves.
9. Which movie lines do you quote the most? (share as many or as few as you like)
I only quote myself. That way I always know what I am talking about.
10. If you could wear any outfit from a movie for a day, what would you choose?
I always liked those mutton chop thingys Reverend Alan wears in Anne of Green Gables.
11. What's your favorite dessert?
Onions and Hay.

“Latin, my dear little boy is the language from which came English. Do not call it silly.” The sage stood up and looked down his nose at the Governess. He only came up to her hip but somehow, the Princess wasn’t quite sure how, he maneged to look down his nose at her.
“My dear little governess,” he said magnanimously, “ it is a silly language. It had not the forethought to be English,{ which is the most confusing language in the world and therefore the best}  so must be considered a very silly language.” he bowed deeply and hopped out of the room on one hand(the sage was very dexterous), leaving the governess gasping for breath.

Anne Week at Anne's Sister's

Yet Another Period Drama Blog
Oh! What a handsome young man!
“Oh! What else is there to admire? Let me see. He is handsome and rich and he has Colonel in front of his name, what else is there?” Victoria’s giggle was a bit higher pitched than normal.
The Young Matchmaker
Posted by Victoria Wilcox{quote provided by Anne}

Oh! I am so pleased to be writing a blog post! I have never done it before. In fact, yes! I distinctly remember never doing this sort of thing before.

Though how I can remember never doing it if I've never done it I'm not quite sure. Oh dear! Now I've muddled myself.

Any way I'm here to answer a tag over at Anne's sister's blog. Not my sister Anne but Elinor's sister Anne. Or rather my Authoress{meaning she wrote me}

Perhaps I had better tell you a little about myself. I am beautiful and lovely. I love to laugh and I never stop. I think that's all there is to my character but you can't blame me. I'm a make up and proud to be one.

1. How many of the Anne books have you read, and how many of the films have you seen?
All of them I suppose. Unless she has written anymore I don't know about note from Anne-girl: Victoria obviously thinks that Elinor meant books written by me

2. If someone yanked your hair and called you carrots, what would you do to him?
Oh! What a funny situation, I think I should laugh.

3. What would you do if Josie Pye dared you to walk the ridgepole of a roof?
Why...I think...maybe i would laugh and say "Oh! Miss Pye! I could not possibly! my dress you know! oh! I think I am a bit dizzy just thinking about it! oh!

4. If you had the opportunity to play any AGG (I'm abbreviating from now on because I am a lazy typist) character in an AGG play, which role would you choose?
I don't know what an AGG character is so I asked Anne and she said that i would make a good Ruby Gilles and that I am very like her.
5. If you were marooned on a desert island, which AGG character would you want to have as a companion? (Anne, Gilbert and Diana are not options.  Let's keep this thing interesting.  Not that they're not interesting.... oh, yay, now the disclaimer to this question is longer than the question itself.  Lovely lovely lovely.)
I don't like to think about boats and things, such nasty, leaky, tippy, places.

6. If there was going to be a new adaptation of the Anne books and you could have any part in making the movie, what would you choose to do? (screenwriting, acting, casting, costume-making are a few possibilities)
Acting! I've always wanted to act something. It sounds so shocking!

7. What are, in your opinion, the funniest AGG book/movie scenes? (choose one from the books and one from the movies)
Oh! I think it was funny when Gilbert went into the pond on his Bicycle. Anne hasn't read the books since she made me up so i have never been exposed to the books.
8. What are, in your opinion, the saddest AGG book/movie scenes? (choose one of each again)
When Anne and Diana get their dresses all dirty. I cried with vexation and mortification for them. Such a sad part.

9. Which AGG character would you most like to spend an afternoon with? (again, Anne and Gilbert and Diana are not options for this one--think secondary characters)
That Fred person. He was sooooooooo handsome.

10.  What is your definition of a kindred spirit?
Someone who loves all the things I love and likes to talk and talk and talk.

This is not happening again

Greetings!my name is Annike something or other{I don't have a last name} Anne is transcribing this for me since I don't know how to read{but we're working on that}.

Anne thought this would be fun so I took two personality quizzes and this is what I came up with.

This test brought to you by Blakeney Manor.

Find out:Which Scarlet Pimpernel character are you?
Excuse me? I'm a guy peoples! Charming. Ok I'll go with that. Talented, don't mind that one. But the rest of it Hello?????

ok now lets see which Austen heroine I'm most like. I can't believe Anne is making me do this!

Go figure. Do you have any idea how hard it is to pick which of the Austen heroes Lywin reminds me of the most? I'm seriously considering never posting again. Honestly!
